Email Alerts

Configure email notifications for your smart contract alerts

Email is the default notification channel in ChainRaven — it's automatically set up when you create your account with no configuration required.

How It Works

FeatureDetails
No setup requiredEmail alerts use your account email address automatically
Enabled by defaultAll alert types send to email out of the box
HTML formattedEmails include rich formatting, severity badges, and clickable links

What's In an Email Alert

Each alert email includes:

  • Alert type and severity — with a color-coded severity badge
  • Contract address — the contract that triggered the alert
  • Blockchain — which chain the event was detected on
  • Event details — specific information about what happened (addresses, amounts, etc.)
  • Timestamp — when the event was detected on-chain
  • Transaction link — click to view the transaction on the block explorer
  • Dashboard link — jump directly to the event in your ChainRaven dashboard

Managing Email Alerts

Disable Email for Specific Alert Types

To turn off email for a specific alert type while keeping other channels active:

  1. Go to Profile > Alert Preferences
  2. Expand the alert type you want to modify
  3. Uncheck the Email checkbox
  4. Click Save Changes

Change Your Email Address

Alert emails are sent to your account email. To update it:

  1. Go to Profile > Profile Info
  2. Update your email address
  3. Save your changes

Not Receiving Emails?

If you're not getting alert emails, work through these checks in order:

  1. Check your spam/junk folder — alert emails are sometimes filtered automatically
  2. Add us to your contacts — add alerts@chainraven.com to your contacts or safe senders list to prevent filtering
  3. Verify email is enabled — go to Alert Preferences and confirm Email is checked for the alert types you want
  4. Check Sent Alerts — look at the Sent Alerts section in your dashboard to see if an alert was actually triggered and sent
  5. Review your cooldown — a long cooldown period prevents repeated alerts from the same contract within the cooldown window

Next Steps

Email is a great starting point, but for real-time mobile notifications consider adding:
